The General Assembly Annual Meetings bring together Unitarians from across the UK for three days of genuine community, spiritual depth, and shared decision-making.

This year’s meeting is at the Hayes Conference Centre, Derbyshire from 27–29 March 2026.

Whether you’ve attended for years or this is your first time, you’ll connect with friends, meet people from congregations you’ve never visited, hear stories that will inspire you, and be part of something bigger than your own community.

You’ll also be part of shaping the future of the Unitarian movement and will help to inspire the next generation of leaders within our movement.

What to expect

Three days of worship, learning, conversation and celebration.

Our keynote speaker is Sarah Corbett, an award-winning activist, Ashoka Fellow, author and founder of the global Craftivist Collective.

The programme includes workshops, talks and interactive sessions designed to feed your spiritual life, help you make new connections, and give you ideas to take back to your home congregation. The full schedule is in the documents section, and on the workshops and sessions page.

You’ll also eat together, laugh together, sing together, and pray together. These things matter as much as the formal sessions.

Due to popular demand, we have created more space in the programme for socialising – more time to connect with old friends and new. Our keynote lecture has now moved to the afternoon slot, and after dinner, your evening is free.

You might relax in the bar, take an evening stroll, or have an early night – and there are also some events on offer:

Craftivism workshop
Associate Members’ Reception
Newbies’ Reception
Inquirer Reception
Self-compassion workshop
Peace Vespers
Choir rehearsal (choir participants only)

As well as the bar and lounge areas, please do feel free to use to the dining halls for board games, crafting, and chatting. The quiet room will also be open for those wanting a peaceful space.
